Hello! I’m Dane Cozens.

I paint rustic contemporary fantasy illustrations.

As a child, I learned to draw from the backseat of my family's minivan. I was homeschooled on the road, and I would look out the car window between lessons, imagining creatures and people living in the forests and fields beyond the highway. I still love to imagine those creatures and characters living in the world around me. By illustrating them, I’m able to both study the experiences I see and to fantasize about how it might be a little different.

When I am not painting or drawing, I can usually be found hiking or running with my dog while listening to music at full volume.
